Royal Opera House Pay Offer Put to Members in the Orchestra

Musicians in the Royal Opera House orchestra campaigning for their pandemic pay cut to be restored are considering a new pay offer from management.

Musicians in the orchestra of the Royal Opera House are considering a new pay offer from management. All action short of strike has been paused while members vote on the new offer.

They have been campaigning to have their pay restored to pre pandemic levels after taking a 10% pay cut to help the company through the worst of Covid-19. Over 2,500 people have signed a petition supporting the orchestra and many shared messages of support on social media.

Members Affected by RWCMD Consultation Urged to Contact the MU

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama is proposing to cease its weekly creative sessions for young people from the end of this academic year. Members who will be affected by this are urged to contact their local regional office.
